Affordability of Universal Basic Income‏

Posted on

The Universal Basic Income movement is increasingly gaining support on both the right and left side of the political spectrum. The biggest hurdle on the road between concept and implementation seems to remain the affordability of the project. We’ll be discussing the possible concerns and solutions’ regarding the funding of a basic income, as well as the role taxation takes within its funding. Learn more about this in our discussion with Maite Zamora Moreno from Living Income Guaranteed Movement.

The Psychology of Activism

Posted on

Why has Activism never worked as a holistic solution to the problems that we face in this world? What psychological factors are at play that make people seem to be so apathetic to our world? How is it that we cognitively comprehend that something is not right in this world, yet we don’t make the effort to stop and change these problems? Why do we find it so difficult to stand up for what is right in this world? How is our fear of associating with negativism linked to our fear of change? We’ll discuss this and more in today’s hangout with +Kim Amourette

Immigrating to a Better Life?

Vídeo Posted on

Immigration is happening at a more rapid speed than ever before in the history of human civilization. But what are its consequences? And are the causes of immigration only found in war- and poverty-torn countries themselves, with people seeing an opportunity to make a better life for themselves abroad? Or is the situation by a large extent also caused by an interconnected and complex political situation brought about by an economic system without social responsibility?
